International Spring Carnival

Finally..I can breath!!adeih..after a few hecticcc days, now I can rest a bit before the finals. So many quizzes, reports and tests were taking place this week..i barely able to update my blog..rest assured.I'll update some of the events..better late than never,kan?

International Spring Carnival(ISC) was held 2 weeks ago.Every year, i was very excited for this event.Nape ek?Heheh..because they were so many booths from different countries..Of course, the ones that I was really interested in were Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.Why did not they have a booth from Korea?Isk..

Back to our booth..i was a volunteer during that day for Malaysian booth..together with Kunod, Apai, Khalil, Ron, Biena and Far. That day was so much fan. I was the 'bride' for that day..hahah.just for one day la.The theme for our booth was Malay wedding..and since we did not have any wedding attire from MSD, we just use Nisa's..a very 'liplap' baju kurung that I called 'baju tunang'.She could not wear it because she was one of the ISC's committees...well, who else was as small as her?Aku la tuh..(complement or dot dot dot?)

Lots of performances from other countries..and again, because of my 'liplap' baju, I represented Malaysia for fashion show. Huh...standing behind those big Arab guys really made me feel intimidated(intimidatedkah?hehehe).But it's good enaough to know 2 Japaneses that also participated in the show-Kevin and Mina. Mina was from Japan while Kevin was half-American and half-Japanese.(footnote:Kevin tuh muke boyish gle.Jadi plakon pon sng jek nk dpt kot).End of footnote.

We closed our booth around 8pm.We received quite a number of visitors during the event and they were all interested in Malaysia. Glad that we were able to promote Malaysia, even here.

I posted some pictures from the event-with Malaysians, volunteers and also Kevin.He's wearing yukata.Too bad Mina was not there during that time..she's cute, too :)

Mama Rina was eliminated.I once thought she's gonna make to the final.well..maybe for voters, age does matter.Overall, I think this is one of the best concerts so far..

Blue and White Weekend + Konsert AF6 Minggu 5

Finally, Saida was out. It's just a matter of time and order of elimination. Sooner or later, she would be eliminated from this competition. As usual, I just listened to ERA this morning while decorating my display board for tomorrow's International Spring Festival. I'll be in-charge on booth.Wel..it's not too bad because it's a free admission for volunteers.ehehe

I was so tired last night playing basketball with the other girls and a few 'sesat' boys.heheh.the 'sesat' boys were Apai, Fawwaz and Budin. It's my 1st time playing basketball.....in the past 5-6 years.Ye2..aku mmg jarang bersukan pon.But lately I was like accumulating the Midwest spirit..since playing soccer with Malay and Arab girls last week.gle bunyi cam puaka

And now,just came back from watching football match for Blue and White Weekend. Again..another 1st time for me-watching a football match. Lots of pennstaters and also the alumnis were wearing blue and white.it's totally a sea of blue and white society in the Beaver Stadium just now. Haleem, Wan and I left a little bit earlier from the rest since we felt like eating ice-cream at the creamery..we should've expected that the line was veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy long that we ended up buying smoothies at the Mix.

feeling sleepy la right now..tomorrow's gonna be a fun event-International Spring Festival.I would write something about that soon.

By the way..did anyone watch Sindarela 11 last week?Not a big deal..ehehe..but my niece appeared as an extra in the show.She played as a reporter at Zoela'a college. Enjoy the snapshot!

Faisal akhirya tersingkir (Konsert AF6 Minggu 4)

Briefly said...Faisal was eliminated. Details on performances coming soon once I watched the performances on Youtube. I just listened to ERA this morning before attending the Midwest games meeting(still got time for this, impressed kan?)

Ok..back to the concert.erm..the 4th concert was...how should i say..lemau.Means boring, plain, nothing special, no outstanding performance. In fact, lotsss of bad ones. Seriously, I won't watch every performance on Youtube(I'm biased, ok!hehe).There are few reasons that would make me have no interest at all in watching those students' clips :

1. I have read the reviews in Cari Forum and 100% of the forummers agreed that the performance was bad or hancor.
2. I have listened to it at ERA..and I felt it was very bad. I mean, vocally and performance wise. So, no need to waste my time watching the video, right?
3. Not so interested about that particular student. So, even though he's doing OK(not outstanding, but better than others), I'm still not convinced to watch him/her.

Am I biased?It's inevitable when you have choices. you can opt to watch or not to watch it.

The best performer of the night might go to Nadia. She's doing good, vocally. But, she still has to improve on 'air lagu'. no wonder Ramli MS said she had problems with 'patah lagu'. Sometimes, she sounded like she's singing an RnB song, Still, she's one of the best among the worst performances.

I admired Nubhan's voice. I thought he's doing great at the first half of the song until he suddenly went offkey(Was it after he gave a flying kiss to Ogy and 'maen2 cinta' with her?Hehehe.I wish to see more potential in him..hopefully.

Forummers 'wholeheartedly' aka 'sebulat suara' agreed that Stanly was the worst. yeah..like i said.I did not watch some of the vids, and Stanly was one of them. But, I feel like watching it now.Just to see how far he had spoiled the beautiful 'Kasih Tercipta'. Yeah..I really should watch it. I'm off now!

can't wait to know the the new song list for this week. It's Monday already! And I don't feel like reviewing everyone(sambil tengok buku stats ats meja yg kononnye ade quiz esok..isk)
